Need your vote!

I'm submitting RJ's picture into a contest to get on the cover of 'Atlanta Parent' magazine but I can only submit ONE photo by June 22, 2007 and it has to be relatively current (so I can't use some of the ones when she was first born) so these are some of our favorites as of yet. If you have a different selection of would like to cast your vote please do so. It is quite difficult for us to be unbias so any suggestions will help. Anyway, we all know she WILL WIN!!! Wish us luck!

Just some general "HOLY COW" moments

Raquel is growing so quickly! She can sit up by herself. She can pull herself up to sit, by herself. She can hold her own bottle (when she chooses to do so). She is eating strained fruits and veggies. We just introduced her to meats (today). She enjoys eating the same things that Ross and I are eating and actually insists that she get a taste. She is geting her first tooth on her lower gums. She can crawl, backwards, to get around. We have to watch her closely because if you blink twice...SHE'S GONE!!!! She has learned communicating with types of grunts and we are in the process of teaching her sign language so that she won't be so frustrated when she tries to communicate. So needless to say, she's growing up so fast! Oh, and most importantly, she has got her mom and daddy wrapped around her little tiny finger!

FYI on Raquel

RJ's MRI has been scheduled for May 25 at 9AM and for those of you who wish to be called after please email me to let me know. The results will not be available for approximately one week so please understand that a response will be sent but maybe not for a week or so.She will have to be sedated bacause they need her to be completely still and those of you who know her know that she, like her father, does not understand the concept of not fidgeting. Dr Kirsch reassures us that the sedation is not to be worried about and that they have all the top rated emergency facilities right there at the children's hospital if something were to go wrong. She will be able to do this procedure on a out-patient basis unless something unforeseen should arise so fortunately she will be able to come home that evening. This procedure is being done so that we can finally know the extent to which her left kidney is working (if any) and to determine the true grade of reflux in her right kidney. Please have her in your prayers that day and send positive thoughts out to her!

The Easter bunny came!!

We hope everyone had a nice Easter! RJ had her first experience with the easter bunny and I must say, she's got the egg finding down! After every egg was found she had to check it's authenticity by promptly placing it in her mouth to make sure that it had indeed been placed there by the easter bunny, luckily they all passed! Not as lucky were those of us that had to endure another embarrassing photo shoot with easter bunny ears atop our heads.Even Jolly Mon' could not escape the ears! However Dad did and seemed more interested in the meat than he was with the ears or the candy that RJ got. No doubt she too was into grabbing the ham because if Dad's doing it then it must be cool! Take care everyone!

We had visitors...YEAH!!

Aunt Jonann and Uncle Brent came for a visit over a long weekend. It was FABULOUS!!! We had such a great time catching up and Uncle Brent treated us to a visit to the Atlanta Aquarium..."best in the world"...and it was! Unfortunately Daddy was in Asia (actually flying on a plane back to the states so he wasn't able to go but that'as okay he says because that will be a weekend that we can do again...many times because I don't think RJ will remember for awhile. She was extremely well behaved even when I got us lost in the city for two hours driving in circles.Not a peep out of her.Such a good baby! Have a good Easter everyone!
