And that's just what they'll do...Thanx to Ellie and Al from Texas Baby Girl Will fit right in when we go back to the midwest in two days and will be stylin' to say the least. Thanx to B.U.M and B.U.D , we are ready!
At first glance Raquel seems rather confused by all the Christmas things being put up around the house. And hey, there's that tree that Daddy killed...what the heck is it doing in the house? So after explaining what we doing she had an A-HA moment and realized this could rather fun for her. Lots and lots of things to break, drag around and play with. This isn't so bad she thought to herself! So after another conversation explaining that would not be happening but if she was good that Santa would bring her lots of presents she was once again thrilled with the idea of Christmas and it was okay that the tree that Daddy killed was in the house. Now, how do we explain the whole Santa down the chimney concept? But alas, that can wait until next year!
We decided today was the day to go get our tree and of course I found a lovely tree farm that I thought would be simple to find but wasn't so we spent a good hour and a half in the car with a starving baby , starving parents, the red light on indicating we were running out of gas, lost and oh so happy about all of it! When we finally found the farm it was quite fun to watch Raquel 'try' to walk around with all the tree stumps she had to navigate. Needless to say she spent a lot of the time getting up from falling down. She's such a trooper! We finally found the perfect tree...so Ross killed it and we took it home!
