The Nursery

Ross and I are excited to announce that the "buying" portion of the nursery is officially done. Now we are waiting for installation and deliveries of the items we ordered. If your interested in some of the items we chose I will post websites that you can go to to view said items at the end of this blog. We selected beautiful antique white furniture pieces along with a crib of course that she will be able to grow with throughout the years which makes Dad very happy (sticker shock!) The crib converts to a twin size so when our little one isn't so little anymore she will be all set. We chose a color palette or ivory white, salmon pinks, and accented those with black because our little girl will be quite chic of course and quite the shopper to Dad's horror hence the name of her bedding "Rodeo Drive". Don't fret I keep telling him, I will be there to protect his interests!!!HA HA HA! Oh scary day! We have decided to paint the walls with a faux finish called French Brush which will give the appearance of a subtle antique sueded look, hopefully it will turn out quite elegant but I won't know until I can convince Dad that I should be the one doing the technique. We are still "discussing" the idea of me painting even though we got the Doc's permission, Dad's just a little protective. We also had a chairail installed in the room so that whimsical harlequinn shapes could be painted below to give the room more visual interest. I think I'll be the one drawing them out and letting Ross paint them in.( Even an engineer can do "paint by numbers"!) Here's a listing of the websites. Sorry no pictures as of yet.
