Still Waiting!!!

It's official, this kid does not listen well! I told her when she was to come out, she didn't. Her Dad told her when to come out, she didn't. Her Aunt Jeannie said "come out", she didn't. So she is proving that it is no longer about us, we have no control anymore, It's ALL ABOUT HER! So when she decides it's time I'll let you know. In the meantime, add Jeannie to the 'Loser' list and we will wait to see if Grandpa Hayes will be a winner today! Good Luck!

Update on the LOSER'S catagory

Well so far the losers are...Brandi Wells (8/24), Michelle (8/26), Peter Wells (8/27), Ross (8/28), Jamey Howey (8/29) and we're waiting to see how Jeannie fairs tomorrow (8/30). We had one more late entry for the 5th of Sept. which I am really starting to wonder if that is not too crazy to contemplate. Dear Lord help me if Bob wins! Not because it's Bob, but because that's a long way away it seems, but not too far fetched! We'll keep you all updated and in the mean time, I'm going back to jumping up and down, eating Indian food, and anything else that I can in order to get this little one moving towards the light as her Dad refers to it.

Big Momma's LAST Photo Shoot

Here it is! The LAST official photo before our little one is born. For those of you who were wondering, "Hmm, what does a nine months pregnant woman look like?" well here you go. BOO-HOO!

Well that's what I get for talkin' all that smack! My date came...and went...just like Ross said it would so now I'm hoping his date comes through because then I still win!! Myself and Brandi are officially out of the running and her Hubby,Peter, picked today so we will see. No contractions yet this morning but it is only 10:15am with a lot of time in front of us. I have compiled a phone list/ e-mail list so that when I do go into labor Ross has all the info that he will need to start notifying everyone. We'll see what happens! Wish us luck! Oh hell, what's this "us" Tonto, wish ME luck!

Two last minute additions: 8/24 and 9/3. The only dates left available are 9/5-9/8 and after 9/9 ( but we all know how Momma feels about those dates) so still bet if you think those are the days because Mo' Money is a good thing ( maybe I'll get those spinnin' rims with all the dough...yeah that's what I'll do)

(His pick was for 9/9!) So get going now and call with your selections! PS Having contractions again yesterday but not in a rythmic fashion...still could mean any day now!

LAME TURNOUT SO FAR!

For those of you who are playing the over/under challenge, and I thank you in advance, here are the dates that have been selected so far: 8/26, 8/28, 8/29, 8/30, 8/31, 9/2, 9/4, and 9/9. Trial Run

Lil' Prince Jolly Mon' wanted to be sure that the crib was A-okay for our daughter's arrival and he wanted to inspect all of her new friends as well. He's a little jealous because she has more friends than he does and she's not even here yet. But when it was all said and done he decided the crib was perfect and they could share their friends! He plays nice with others!

One minor detail I forgot to put in that last blog...Did I mention that I've been having contractions since Tuesday? Oops, my bad! Now we are all on the same playing field!

Another Update from the Doc...

I had another weekly visit to the good ole doc. yesterday for a non-stress test(NST) and a regular check-up. I was supposed to have an amniotic fluid check (sounds like something you do to your car) but the doctor said that could wait until next week since our little one handled the NST just fine. They like to see how the baby handles stress and if she is capable of rebounding quickly on her own, which she did with flying colors...she must get that from her Dad because it's for darn sure I don't handle stress all that well and rebounding quickly from it has never been my forte...but she did well. She is still head down and I'm only 75% effaced compared to 70% last week. I was hoping for a higher number or at least some dialating but no such luck! She's listening to Dad and is not coming out to play this week! Okay, on to another topic. The over/under bet that none of you guys have participated in with the exception of Super Grandpa, WHAT'S THE DEAL!? No interest? SCARED? Confused how to play? What Is It? I expect 100% participation after this goes out. How about if we make it interesting? $10.00 a bet? With the amount of people that tell me that they view this blog it ought to be worth it for everyone to play. Not to mention Momma needs some new shoes! AHAH! Cause I'm gonna win...na na na boo boo! Okay, someone play PLEASE! My official due date is Sept.2 and I say under (August 26), Randy says over (Sept. 4) I could have killed him with that date! and that's all the bets I have. Not even her Dad has picked a date! so come on folks, let's have some fun!!! (Especially you Jeanie, I know you're willing to play) ...Official countdown, 16 days left, or 9 if you go by my prediction!

Update from the doctor

Here's the lastest and greatest as we know it right now! Our 'little' one is not so little any more (at least in my mind). The doctor said that she weighs approximately 6.9lbs now and we still have two more weeks of cookin' (unless she comes early like I keep saying) but that means if she follows the standard of a half a pound each week she will be pushing 8 pounds! That's another reason why I think she will be early, she doesn't want to scare the bejesus out of Momma! Also the doctor had some GREAT news about her kidney situation. It seems our little one is a fighter and her right kidney is now spot on where it should be in size, development and functioning! It was slightly enlarged before but has ceased to keep growing in size...great news. However, her left one is still causing some issues. It is approximately 24mm where it should be no greater than 7mm so we will still have to figure out after she is born what can be done to rectify that, whether it be surgery or medication, we will have to wait and see. So for now we will just continue to let her cook and get nice and plump, that's all they do the last month is get chunkier they don't grow any more in length just fatter! OH NO!!! Dad will be traveling a couple times this week to Pittsburg on Monday, back Tuesday and to Atlanta on Friday back Friday night so he had a conversation with our daughter explaining that she can't come out to play this week and will have to wait until next week if not longer so hopefully she was listening! Good lord I hope she is!!! For those of you counting 19 days 'officially' left and only 12 'unofficial' days by my date prediction! The Marcoot family is getting ready to grow!

Final Preparations

I think we're ready as we can be now. Last weekend we went up to Raleigh to the Babies-R-Us store to get all the last minute items and all the practical items IE: diapers, pacifiers, bottles, bath tub, baby lotion, etc. so now we just need a baby! Simple enough! It turned out to be a rather long trip because of some road construction so what should have taken two hours to get to ended up taking 3.5 hours, not to mention someone, I won't name any names, but someone had to keep stopping to go to the bathroom which added on some time too. Nonetheless we got there and did our business and hopefully didn't forget too many items! I'm sure it will be learn by fire and trial and error but I think for the most part we are ready! Then Dad had the fun job of putting all items together that required it. I have to say, those pieces are NEVER going to come apart because Mr. Engineer and Safety Man made sure of that! But I wouldn't expect any less from him- he's very good at making sure things are put together really well.( Ross also had to put together the bassinet but I didn't get a photo of that). As for the little one, she's doing wonderful! Active as crazy and getting bigger each week, it's estimated that fetus' put on at least a half of a pound each week during the last two months, so she should be relatively good size being that she already was 5.9lbs three weeks ago and I 'officially' have 3.5 more weeks to go...but we all know that she's coming before then! (Still waiting for takers on the over/under). I'm thinking that she will grace us with her presence on August 28 which is 6 days before her due date. "NO" i don't know why that date sticks out, it just does. I'm headed back to the doctor tomorrow to measure the amniotic fluid around her just to be sure that all is well, which I'm sure it is, but I'll keep everyone abreast of the situation. PLUS, we went to our other doctor yesterday and he said thay I was 70% effaced which means my cervix is thinning which leads to dialation!!!! So maybe it will be even sooner! PLUS, we got a new car! Or should I say "I" got a new car! Better yet, the baby got a new car! The Exploder had to go to car heaven! It was time, 160,000 miles and a lot of good memories were in that car but we were going to have to start putting some money into it in order to keep it up to speed and we just didn't think it was worth it any longer. So my new ride is a Cadillac Escalade..I just need to get those rims that spin and I'll be set! I can see it now...pulling into a parking spot, a little rap music blarin' and those shiny rims going round and round and me taking my newborn out of her car seat...yeah..that's going to happen:) It's a very nice car and I'm really enjoying it and I'm getting quite a good chuckle out of Ross trying to park it when he drives it. He's gotten so used to the Z and it's considerably larger than the Exploder was so he has a little issue with tight parking or general parking spots for that matter! HEE HEE! I however drive it like a PRO! Okay, gotta go and for those of you counting...24 days left to go!!

Myrtle Beach Off-site and "BIG MOMMA"

We just got back from Myrtle Beach, SC. where Ross' boss Andy had all the staff down for an off-site. It was quite nice...HOT as hell but quite nice all the same. I was able to spend every morning with the ladies (spouses) having breakfast and then heading down to the pool to scare little children with my big belly because I was wearing my bikini, actually it wasn't the children that were so afraid as the adults..ha-ha! But it was nice to get some sun and chill out for a few days. Ross had to work in the AM of course but we were able to get together in the afternoons most of the time, except for when they played golf. We enjoyed the get away but now it's back to reality! (Sorry the picture has a glare on it. I took a picture of a picture.) The other photo is of "Big Momma" as my lovely husband refers to me now at 35 weeks. I think I'm losing some of the weight?! 32 Days left! HOLY #@!*

So officially there are 32 days left until my due date and since no one did the over/under with me (thanks a lot) I WIN by default because if she's early, I was right and if she's late, I was right and if she's right on the due date, I was right! I love being the smartest one:) Actually, I still say that she is going to be making her debut early...maybe 6 days early. She has been head down for the last three weeks and continues to stay there plus I can tell with all her activity she is anxious to meet the two CRAZY people who keep poking , wiggling and shaking her all the time. PLUS, she told me so! Yup that's right. She told me that she's coming early because she too likes for me to be right! Gotta Love That! Okay, enough with my ego inflating mumbo jumbo.
